About Me
I am a proud native of North Carolina and have made Raleigh my home for more than 20 years. Before training to become a therapist, I worked for 15 years in the senior living industry. During that time of working closely with families who were often in crisis situations, I gained clarity to my life calling of being a mental health professional. More than 10 years as a licensed counselor have been spent in university counseling centers working closely with emerging young adults through many life transitions and challenges. I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and am a QPR Gatekeeper Certified Instructor for Suicide Prevention.
Fun Fact About Me: I have a soft spot for rescue dogs and pictured here are my three pups- Ivy, Violet, and Rocky.
